If you are driving from the south

On I-880 N toward Oakland
Take Right fork onto I-980 E toward WALNUT CREEK (CA-24) - go 1.5 mi
Continue on CA-24 E toward BERKELEY/WALNUT CREEK - go 0.7 mi
Take the MARTIN LUTHER KING JR WAY/51ST STREET exit onto MARTIN LUTHER KING JR WAY - go 1.5 mi
Turn Right on 62ND ST - go 0.1 mi
Turn Left on DOVER ST
Turn Right on 62ND ST
Arrive at 689 62ND ST, OAKLAND, on the Right

If you are driving from the north

On I-80 W toward OAKLAND
Continue on I-580 E toward DOWNTOWN/OAKLAND/HAYWARD/STOCKTON/ALAMEDA (I-880)/SAN JOSE - go 1.4 mi
Take the BERKELEY/WALNUT CREEK exit onto MARTIN LUTHER KING JR WAY - go 2.0 mi
Turn Right on 62ND ST - go 0.1 mi
Turn Left on DOVER ST
Turn Right on 62ND ST
Arrive at 689 62ND ST, OAKLAND, on the Right

If you are driving from the west

Cross the BAY BRIDGE
Take the BAY BRIDGE/OAKLAND Left exit onto I-80 E - go 7.4 mi
Take the DOWNTOWN OAKLAND (CA-24)/HAYWARD-STOCKTON exit onto I-580 E - go 1.7 mi
Take the BERKELEY/WALNUT CREEK exit onto MARTIN LUTHER KING JR WAY - go 2.0 mi
Turn Right on 62ND ST - go 0.1 mi
Turn Left on DOVER ST
Turn Right on 62ND ST
Arrive at 689 62ND ST, OAKLAND, on the Right

If you are driving from the east

Oakland Airport to Bay Zen Center

Allow 1 1/2 hours travel time from the airport.
Come out of the airport terminal and cross the street to the center island
Find the sign that reads "AirBART Shuttle" and wait for the bus lablled "AirBART Shuttle"
You need to have the exact fare of US$3.00
The shuttle will drop you off in front of the Bart station
Go inside and purchase a ticket from the ticket machine
The prices of one-way and round-trip tickets are listed. Pay the fare to Rockridge.
(As of Dec 1, 2007, 1-way US$1.85, round-trip US$3.70)
Use your ticket to go through the turnstile and enter the foyer
(Here you can find a printed schedule of "Bart Fares and Schedules") Go up the stairs "To All Trains"
Wait on the platform labeled "Richmond/MillbraeSFO" (the East side platform)
Wait for the train labeled "Richmond"
Exit at the Ashby BART station

SF Airport to Bay Zen Center

International Terminal

When you come out of customs, stay inside the foyer and go to the right
Walk to the end of the foyer and go up the escalator (the escalator will be on the right side)
At the top of the escalator go around the wall and look for the signs (on the left side) that read, “BART/Caltrain”. This will lead you to the Bart station.

Domestic Terminal

(Note: AirTrain is free, you do not need to pay)
From baggage claim, look for and follow the signs “AirTrain”
(Be prepared to take a combination of elevators, escalators and walks through a parking lot depending on your terminal.)
Coming from Terminal 2 or 3: take the Blue Line
Coming from Terminal 1: Take the Red Line
(Note: Both trains go to Bart. These directions are the shortest route.)
Listen to the announcements. Get off at “Garage G/Bart”

Taking Bart…

Purchase a ticket from the ticket machine
The prices of one-way and round-trip tickets are listed. Pay the fare to Rockridge. (As of Dec 21, 2006, 1-way US$5.60, round-trip US$11.20)
Use your ticket to go through the turnstile and enter the foyer (Here you can find a printed schedule of “Bart Fares and Schedules”)
Follow the signs for “San Francisco/East Bay” and wait for the train at that platform
Get on the train labeled “SF/Dublin Pleasanton”; you will transfer to another train at the Balboa Park Station
Exit at the Balboa Park station. Stay on the same platform, your train will be on the same tracks
Take the train labeled “Richmond”
Exit the train at the Ashby Station. You will need your ticket to exit the station
