Membership
 Full Membership
Anyone interested in supporting the Center may become a member. We offer both full and associate membership. The extent of each person’s involvement in the Center depends on family and work commitments. Full membership is for those who live within a two-hour drive from the Center. Associate membership is for those who live outside a two-hour drive from the Center.
Benefits of full membership include:

May have regular daisan with Diane.*

Are eligible to vote and serve on the Board of Directors.

Receive a bi-monthly sangha letter.

Receive discounts for sesshins and one-day sittings.
Full Members make a yearly dues pledge.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is for those who live more than a two-hour drive from the Center, but wish to participate in Center activities.
Benefits of associate membership include:

May regularly discuss practice on the phone with the teacher or see her in daisan when at the Center.*

Attend Center activities whenever possible.

Receive bi-monthly sangha letter.

Receive discounts for sesshins and one-day sittings.
Associate Members make a yearly dues pledge.
*Although daisan/practice discussion is available to all members, membership does not assume that a person has become Diane’s student. Any member who wishes to deepen his/her practice by formally becoming Diane’s
student, should speak with her in daisan/practice discussion.
Membership Pledge Amounts
The basic annual pledge for full members is $40/month for full members and $25/month for associate members. Members whose annual gross income is under $40,000 may wish to reduce their pledge to 1% (for full members) or 0.624% (for associate members) of their annual gross income. Members whose annual gross income is over $50,000 are strongly encouraged to increase their pledge to 1% (for full members) or 0.625% (for associate members) of their annual income.
The Bay Zen Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible.
